Accreditation Organisations for testing laboratories and Standardisation Bodies worldwide:
ILAC - The International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation is an international cooperation of laboratory and inspection accreditation bodies.
IUPAC - International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. An excellent worldwide website for information on chemical definitions, chemistry news and conferences.
WSSN - is a network of publicly accessible World Wide Web servers of standards organizations around the world. Through the Web sites of its members, WSSN provides information on international, regional and national standardization and related activities and services.
ISO - International Standards Organisation, for ISO/IEC/EN 17025 and ISO 9001 laboratory quality management systems and is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies from some 130 countries, one from each country. Established in 1947, ISO is a non-governmental organization with a mission to promote the development of standardization and related activities in the world.
EA - European Co-operation for Accreditation is the European network of nationally recognised accreditation bodies located in the European geographical area.
CEN - European Committee for Standardisation is a business facilitator in Europe, removing trade barriers for European industry and consumers.
EURACHEM - a network of organisations in Europe having the objective of establishing a system for the international traceability of chemical measurements and the promotion of good quality practices.
EUROLAB - The European Federation of National Associations of Measurement, Testing and Analytical Laboratories.
A2LA - American Association for Laboratory Accreditation seeks to establish cooperative arrangements with laboratory accreditation systems in other countries and in the United States.
NIST - National Institute of Standards and Technology. An USA organisation listing data, publications and specifications.
IAAC - InterAmerican Accreditation Cooperation is an association of accreditation bodies in the Americas and other organizations interested in conformity assessment.
NACLA - The National Cooperation for Laboratory Accreditation is a not-for-profit corporation established in 1998 and focus on laboratory accreditation programs in the U.S.
ANSI - Is the voice of the U.S. Standards and Conformity Assessment System.
ASTM - American Society of Testing Materials International is one of the largest voluntary standards development organizations in the world-a trusted source for technical standards for materials, products, systems, and services.
NCCLS - National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards NCCLS officially changed its name, becoming Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI).
UKAS - The United Kingdom Accreditation Service is the sole UK national accreditation body recognised by government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.
EOQ - The European Organization for Quality is an autonomous, non-profit making association under Belgian law.
JAS-ANZ - Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand is the government-appointed accreditation body for Australia and New Zealand responsible for providing accreditation of conformity assessment bodies (CABs) in the fields of certification and inspection.
NATA - The National Association of Testing Authorities is Australia's national laboratory accreditation authority. NATA accreditation recognises and promotes facilities competent in specific types of testing, measurement, inspection and calibration.
NMI - National Measurement Institute is responsible for Australia's national infrastructure in physical, chemical, biological and legal measurements.
FSSI - Food Safety Services International Certification is the FSSI certification division established to provide 3rd party certification throughout the food chain in accordance with ISO 22000:2005.
SANAS - The South African National Accreditation System is recognised by the South African Government as the single National Accreditation Body that gives formal recognition that Laboratories, Certification Bodies, Inspection Bodies, Proficiency Testing Scheme Providers and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) test facilities are competent to carry out specific tasks.
QSAE - Quality and Standards Authority of Ethiopia; the Authority is a nonprofit government organ reporting to the Ministry of Science and Technology. Its policy-making and governing body is the Standards and Certification Council whose members are appointed by the Government selected from various industry and science and technology organizations.
